What about refunds?
Soumis par Bilthon le mer, 09/22/2010 - 08:24
Hi there, I'm new to this marketplace and would like to know how exactly you treat refunds from the developer perspective. Do I still get charged for the processing of the transaction?
Thanks

Developer Fees
SlideME passes any payment processing costs to the developer as part of the payout fee, much like the fees applied if developer was the merchant. In the case of a refund when customer uses PayPal or Amazon Payments to purchase, there are no fees charged by these payment processors. Therefore no fees will be deducted from developers account. If such payment processors do change their rates, we will also need to adapt accordingly.
In case when direct credit/debit card payment is used by buyer, fees do apply to SlideME to refund (as they would too, if developer was the merchant), thus such costs to SlideME are passed onto developers account.
Overall, the fees applied to developers are based upon the type of payment method used by buyer.
Even when we implement carrier billing, if this xyz carrier has a processing fee of 20% as an example, developers will receive the balance.
Developers are able to see from each transaction the payment method used by buyer.
