Alexandre Dumas, born Dumas Davy de la Pailleterie (24 July 1802 – 5 December 1870) was a French writer, best known for his historical novels of high adventure which have made him one of the most widely read French authors in the world. Many of his novels, including The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers, Twenty Years After, and The Vicomte de Bragelonne were originally serialized.

The Count of Monte Cristo:
The Count of Monte Cristo (French: Le Comte de Monte-Cristo) is an adventure novel by Alexandre Dumas, père. It is often considered, along with The Three Musketeers, as Dumas' most popular work. It is also among the highest selling books of all time. The writing of the work was completed in 1844. Like many of his novels, it is expanded from the plot outlines suggested by his collaborating ghostwriter Auguste Maquet.

The Three Musketeers:
The Three Musketeers (Les Trois Mousquetaires) is a novel by Alexandre Dumas, père. It recounts the adventures of a young man named d'Artagnan after he leaves home to become a musketeer. D'Artagnan is not one of the musketeers of the title; those are his friends Athos, Porthos, and Aramis—inseparable friends who live by the motto, "One for all, and all for one".

Twenty Years After:
The novel follows events in France during La Fronde, during the childhood reign of Louis XIV, and in England near the end of the English Civil War, leading up to the victory of Oliver Cromwell and the execution of King Charles I.

In this collection you can also find:
Ali Pacha, Camille, Countess de Saint-Geran, Derues, Joan of Naples, Karl Ludwig Sand, La Constantin, Louise de la Valliere, Marquise Brinvillier, Martin Guerre, Murat, Nisida, Ten Years Later, The Black Tulip, The Borgias, The Cenci, The Marquise de Ganges, The Vicomte of Bragelonne, Urbain Grandier, Vaninka.

All the books that can be downloaded inside the app are under public domain license. Original works have been taken from Project Gutenberg (http://www.gutenberg.org/) and adapted for mobile devices.
