The wife and I use it to save money, and it seems to be doing the job.

The applications download to the SD card but still need to be installed into the internal memory.
Will applications installed
Will applications installed using the Slideme client load onto the SD card or into internal memory as if installing the application from the Market?

I just signed up to Slideme, and it took me a minute to figure out how to download apps too.
Click
Click http://slideme.org/sam2.apk from your G1 browser. The SAM client will download. Install it. A catalog list will show up, allowing you to download this application
