SlideME has launched the newly designed SlideME Market app v5

We have launched our newly designed Android market app, version 5 of the SlideME Application Manager (SAM), and we wanted to highlight some of the new features that you might not yet know about in the new SAM 5.
Thanks to community and tester effort, SAM 5 has already reached its 13th version (5.13) with tons of stability, performance, and usability improvements, easily making it the best SAM (yet).
SAM 5 features
SAM 5's improved app discovery features will allow you to more easily find the apps you want with higher quality results:
- New “Editor’s Choice” apps that you really should try out
- New app listings for Top Paid, Top Free, Top New, Trending and Apps with Videos to see what apps other people think are worth trying out
- New categories and sub-categories to narrow down to the things you’re looking for
- New search filters, including differentiating between paid and free apps, and Advanced Filters for apps with Haptic Feedback, Apps requiring Google Play, Parental Rating, Device type, & Price with more filters to be added soon, to easily find that app your friend is showing off
- App Offers: Get paid apps on a discount - we aggregate them in one place so you don’t have to look about. Make sure to get them before they expire though!
In addition to all that, we've launched a new forum topic, where you can let us know about the things you feel are missing from SAM. Let your voice be heard!
- Register a new account - either filling in some quick data or using your Facebook account
- Add funds to your SlideME Wallet
- Rate and review apps you have installed
- Thumb up/down a posted review
- Open a helpdesk ticket
- Request direct support from the developer
- View other apps by the same developer or similar apps by other developers
- More easily manage your downloads and purchases
- Greatly improved performance and stability, by continuously testing on 5157 device models
- Added new languages: Croatian, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Romanian, Slovak, Swedish, totaling 31 languages
- See apps prices in your own currency
SAM 5 for developers
If you're a developer, you can take advantage of some of these new features that have arrived with the launch of SAM 5 to boost app discoverability:- If you are an independent developer with a promising app or game, ask to get featured within the new “Indie Apps - By Top Independent Developers” collection
- Submit your new higher quality apps so they appear in the Top New Apps
- If your apps leverage Haptic technology, such will be featured within the Apps with Feeling collection
- Contact us to be considered for any of the new featured “Collections” on the SAM homepage
- Take advantage of ”App Offers”. Create your own promotional campaign, and set your paid apps to a reduced price for a maximum period of one month
- Take advantage of listing within “Apps with Video Previews” by adding a video to your application
- Update your apps to the new sub-categories available for improved application discovery
- Embedded widgets -- use these to showcase your app in your (or other) websites
- Sponsored & Promoted listings -- drive more installs from top placements of your apps within the SlideME SAM catalog.

Installing SAM
New users, simply go to this link http://slideme.org/sam.apk into your Android browser.
Existing SAM users, simply open your existing SAM and you should receive a notification to upgrade to the latest version available for your device.
