HQLator v1.2.1
When you download a file, it is important to check its authenticity and integrity. HQLator is a Cryptographic Hash Calculator computing file checksums and message digests - a unique and compacted representation of downloaded and local files. Message digest ensures data integrity and guarantees that user's files have not been altered by unauthorized or unknown means.
Application supports the following cryptographic standards:
- CRC-32 - error- detecting algorithm used to detect accidental changes to file data;
- Adler-32 - a faster checksum algorithm;
- MD5 - a reliable message-digest algorithm producing a compact representative image of file data;
- SHA-1 - a cryptographic hash function widely employed in many applications;
- SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512 - a set of cryptographic hash algorithms published by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology as constituent parts of the SHA-2 initiative;
- RIPE-128, RIPE-160, RIPE-256, RIPE-320 - RACE Integrity Primitives Evaluation Message Digest algorithms created by European scientists.
HQLator computes checksums and digests on local files and displays hash values in hexadecimal format. A calculated digest can be saved as a text file for future verification. In addition to that, application contains a collection of Web links to Wikipedia articles devoted to cryptography.
