QuestWood v1.2.0
A little mouse lives in a forest village with his family and friends. He goes to school and likes learning about physics and puzzle solving, for which he is commended by his teacher. The villagers are peaceful and depend on the apples and berries that the seasons produce for their food source and these are plentiful.
One season, however, the food runs out. The little mouse’s elders tell the school children that each year there are quests by chosen mice to collect valuable items throughout the great forest and that these are offered to the mountain gods, and that the mountain gods release the sun and the rain to make the apples and berries gather on the trees for the mice harvest. This year no mouse has been brave enough to take on the quest and this is why there is no food. The mountain gods are angry. The mice children will be sent away to live with their relatives if no champion can be found.
The little mouse likes adventure. He volunteers to go on a quest for the village, to collect the valuable objects as he journeys through the forest, so that these may be offered up to the mountain gods. The elders think the little
mouse is a smart mouse, but that he is too young for the challenge. However, as they have no other volunteer, they agree to let the little mouse undertake the quest.
He leaves the village and begins his adventure into the big forest, armed with his rucksack and a map to help him find his way. The little mouse is excited by his quest however and leaves his map by a stream. He soon becomes lost and afraid, as he is all alone. The little mouse falls asleep and has a dream about his teacher who told him he has a great skill at solving puzzles. The little mouse wakes up and realizes he must use his clever wit and his understanding of physics to find his way through the maze of hidden treasures. Along the way he must buy food to give him strength, he learns how to eat to run faster and to jump higher as he journeys through the forest to reach his goal.
